McCormick Gold Rush Festival
The annual Gold Rush Festival, held in September, is a huge regional draw to the gold mine at McCormick, as well as the town itself. Music, local crafts, food, and entertainment abound in this celebration of the town’s successful run as a source of gold, gems and precious metals.

Bells & Whistles 29835 Festival is a celebration of Spring and our Rail Town heritage. Our county seat, Town of McCormick, is special because the train still goes through our downtown main street every day. The train reminds our residents and visitors if it was not for the development of the railroad through our county which includes the Rail Towns of Mt. Carmel, Willington, McCormick, Plum Branch, Parksville, Modoc, and Clarks Hill we would not have existed. Please come join us for a family day of fund at our historic Train Depot and our new Train House which displays trains from the 1800s. A BBQ Cook-off, car show, vendors, art exhibitors, craft illustrations, community services display, authors, poets, and great entertainment will be part of the celebration. Oh yes, our Gold Mine, downtown merchants, and great restaurants will be open as well.

Kick off your summer and join us for the annual Western SC Blueway Festival which will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Bakers Creek State Park in McCormick, SC. This all day event is a celebration of outdoor adventures. There will be exhibitors offering information and hands-on opportunities for various types of activities including kayak and paddleboard experiences, fishing experiences, bikes, disc golf and much more. There will be a variety of food vendors to keep you fueled up for the fun. A poker run is planned as well. Kids are included with a children’s area offering all sorts of events and entertainment. Since no festival is complete without music, there will be some excellent bands playing throughout the day. Click through for details.
